INDIGENOUS A&E: Low riders, kernels of knowledge and a bronze ‘Sovereign’
Credit: A new exhibit at the Denver Art Museum, "Desert Rider: Dreaming in Motion,” explores the connections between transportation, landscape and cultural identity by focusing on self-identified Latinx and Indigenous artists whose art and transformed vehicles rev up their pride. The feature works include this painting, “What Dreams are Made Of,” by Diné/Chicana artist Nani Chacon. The exhibition runs July 9-Sept. 24, 2023. (Photo courtesy of Nani Chacon)
